Chuggington is a new CGI animated
pre-school train based series aimed at 2-5 years olds. Read about
Chuggington on Wikipedia. The series
was created by a leading creative team led by Sarah Ball, Director
and Writer of Bob the Builder, and Don Toht who led the creation of
the toys systems for Thomas & Friends for 12 years as well as Bob
the Builder.
Deep in the heart of children's imagination
lies the land of Chuggington, where trains have come to life and
everything runs on rails. The 'chuggers' in this magical world are
all based on modern engines of every kind, from streamlined diesel
locomotives and electric bullet trains to trolleys and old steam
engines. Three apprentice engines (called "trainees" of course!) are
learning to ride the rails and perform essential tasks. Wilson, an
eager (but slightly impetuous) red engine; Brewster, a loyal and
rugged freight engine; and Koko, whose speed and derring-do
sometimes get her into mischief.
Meet
them here.
As they complete their daily tasks and practice
their skills, they learn lessons of timeless value to every
childhood, from responsibility and bravery to the meaning of true
friendship. See
character
video clips here. See
Episode guide and the lessons each teach here.
Koko is a fearless passenger engine built for high
speed. She loves to explore and have adventures, and to
challenge her friends to a dare or a race. Although her
spirit might get her into mischief, she is always
well-meaning and knows when to apologize.
Brewster
is a strong diesel-electric train built for
heavy loads. Other trainees may want to rush into action
when they're given a mission, but sensible Brewster asks
questions first. He's very dependable and can always be
relied on when there's trouble.
Wilson is a lively multi-function engine with oodles of
enthusiasm and confidence. His eagerness isn’t always
matched by his ability to pay attention, so he has some
learning to do about listening and following instructions.
He's always curious and ready to learn.
